Maddi's 8 year old pics

Yes I know, she will be 9 in December, but these were taken in July on the Lee University campus by a great friend and talented photographer, Greg Serum.

Take a look!

News...

OK.. so I looked over my blog and saw that my last post was July 1. Just before I lost my job... Yes. The very next morning, they called me in and told me my position was terminated. That was almost 2 months ago and over 35 resumes and applications later...still no job.

I have completed my Medical Terminology course and have moved on to Medical Transcription, hoping to get that up and running before Christmas.

Maddi had a wonderful time at youth camp, but I am so horrible, I did not take a picture of the girls... I think Glen did with his camera so maybe I can get a copy... things have been really crazy since I haven't been working and my brain doesn't work right.

Maddi started 3rd grade! This was fun. Her teacher is Mrs. Stuart and she is so sweet! I think Maddi will do well this year... she has a great 2nd grade since transferring to Mayfield and my hope is that whatever happens with my job situation that she can stay in that school.. I am praying that is the case...

My 3rd Grader!

Here is a shot of us just hanging out at home on a Sunday... notice the mascara Maddi has on.. this is an important part of her "look" these days :)

July 1, 2008--WOW Can't belive it's July

I haven't written in while here! A lot has been going on in the world of Maddi and myself. The very last week of April I was moved to another position in this building, not thrilled about it, but it pays the bills and is a decent environment to work in. So I am thankful.

I am still working at home diligently on the Medical Transcription Courses. I have completed the first part and am waiting on my proctor to give me the midterm so I can complete the course! I have made very good scores on all my quizes and review tests so far...so here's hoping I do well on the exam!

Upate and Random Information

Hello Everyone!

There is not really much going on in our world other than the usual... Work, School, Church, doggies... oh yea... Jibber is gone... the beautiful lab we had for a short while.. he is gone, but not forgotten... and now we have Buddy-- an absolutely adorable little Beagle. Maddi adores him and Jake is enjoying having a "smaller" guy to push around.

I am looking forward to the Mother's Day lunch at Maddi's school in the next couple of weeks and then I am going to be going on a field trip with her class in May as well! I sometimes really would love to just be available to do all those things... but the few I get to do are special.

Maddi is becoming such a wonderul young lady. She is beautiful and smart and sassy as you can possibly imagine and then some!

I just love this picture of her.

Oh! We did go to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg for Maddi's Spring Break. We only went for a couple of days, but really had a great time.

us in the car:)

loving the SNOW!

Maddi at Wonder Works!

Maddi and me with a picture of our lineage

Maddi with the bubble maker... I love this of her face!

So yeah, that's pretty much it lately... and no, I am not dating or engaged or getting married... just in case anyone asks you.

Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey -The Greatest Show on Earth

We went to the circus on Saturday, March 29. It was so much fun. For just a couple of hours, I was a kid again! I have always loved the circus and been amazed at the beauty of the people and the animals... I still am!

Maddi got to see the wonderment for the first time and it was so much fun watching her and Kristopher and Aidan and Courtlyn be amazed at what they saw!

The white tigers were just breath-taking. Such gorgeous animals...such strength, such grace... but yet they can destroy you with one swipe of a massive paw!

The elephant--so adorable and so H U G E-seemingly docile and sweet-with a kind of sad look-but again, the wild animal could have taken us out with one stomp!

The ladies, the gents---just such pretty people... so talented, so fun!

I hope at least once you get to enjoy the circus--and if you have children, take them and get the closest seats possible-it's WORTH the money!
